As we all know, lighting is at the heart of any space in the home and Whitemore and Thwaytes have always supplied beautiful lamps and decorative lighting. Did you know we also provide fully integrated systems for day-to-day life and to create stunning lighting effects. Our on-site lighting specialist, Aga, uses 3D visualisation and lighting intensity distribution diagrams to show how lighting can transform your space. Whether we are working on a new build or renovating an existing home, the correct lighting can highlight architectural features, appear to alter the size and shape of a room, and create dramatic effects on staircases and tall ceilings achieving the best possible design for the space. We use only the best quality lighting fittings from English and European suppliers as well as sourcing single, smaller light sources to meet our client’s needs, whether residential or commercial. 
 


how it works

Our lighting design services can include: visualisations, drawings for electricians, drawings for plasterers with plaster board or recessed ceilings, fixture sourcing, quotations and full technical details. Not sure what you may need? Our lighting specialist will have a solution for you.

Basic Package (approximately 5 hours per room £175 ): Full lighting design for the room presented with 3D lighting renders. Furniture layout with basic blocking. Full technical drawing for an electricians’ use. Appropriate light fixtures sourced.

Enhanced Package (approximately 10 hours per room £350): Full lighting design for the room presented with 3D lighting renders. Full colour and texture finishes where applicable. Including design details such as panelling, coving, architrave etc. Furniture layout with accurate furniture representation. Full technical drawing for an electricians’ use. Appropriate light fixtures sourced.

Hourly Rate £35 / Hour excluding VAT. Site visit and travel expenses are in addition. Large re-designs charged at an additional hourly rate.
